Abstract:
An overview of the reports presented at the inter-university scientific conference of students, postgraduate students and young scientists (with international participation) ‘Poetry as a genre of Russian philosophy (based on the pages of the journal “Solovyov Studies”)’, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the death of Vl. S. Solovyov. A brief description of the reports read at the meetings of three sections is given: Section 1 ‘Philosophical Poetry of the 18th – early 19th Centuries’; Section 2 ‘Philosophical Poetry of the Second Half of the 19th Century’; Section 3 ‘Philosophical Poetry of the 20th Century’. The most important universal themes characteristic of philosophical poetry are noted, such as the meaning of life, human existence, the relationship between the divine and the earthly, the cognition of essential problems of being, Russia's historical calling, Russia's role in the fate of nations, and others. The role of the Interregional Scientific and Educational Centre for Research of the Legacy of V.S. Solovyov (Solovyov Seminar) in improving the teaching of university philosophy courses.
