Abstract:

The article briefly examines the state of the modern history of Russian philosophy, the problems of which are connected, according to the author, on the one hand, with the dominance in the research space, public consciousness and media, historical and memorial strategy and the desire for political and ideological actualization, and on the other – with the dominance of the language of self-description and models of self-interpretation of Russian philosophy of the first half the last century, as well as the gap between the community of historians of Russian philosophy and other segments of the Russian philosophical community. It is proved that the history of Russian philosophy lacks a fundamental historical and philosophical research program, as well as the search for new optics and perspectives of interpretation. It is shown that this general situation also affects the state of Solovyov’s studies, which have lost their previous inherent pace and ambition. At the same time, it is pointed out not only about the general significance of Vladimir Solovyov’s legacy for many lines of the history of the Russian religious and philosophical tradition, but also the possible relevance of certain aspects of his thought in modern discussions related, for example, to the theoesthetic paradigm, post-secularity studies, and discussion of perspectives of (post)metaphysics. The conclusion is made about the impossibility of simple retransmission and mechanical application of Solovyov’s thought to modern philosophical discussions and the need to search for new research strategies, ways of reading, models of its interpretation and creative use compared to those created in the past.
