Abstract:
The article analyzes a unique feature of the philosophy of cosmism as a synergy of the religious and rationally practical approaches to being. Projectivity as a characteristic of cosmist philosophy is compared with other forms of rationalization of religious doctrines. The article demonstrates the conceptual difference in attitudes toward rational knowledge among the three main Christian denominations in different historical periods. It reconstructs specific types of practice-oriented rationality within the history of Christianity. The cultural factors that influenced the formation of N.F. Fyodorov's projective‑religious attitude are revealed: (1) the interpretation of the knowledge of the world as the knowledge of God in early Christian Eastern patristics; (2) the orientation of the philosophy of the “common cause” equally toward believers and non‑believers. The concept of the noosphere in V.I. Vernadsky's work and its genesis are analyzed. Using the example of the emergence of the concept of the “noosphere”, the article shows how projective desymbolization of notions that appeared in religious‑philosophical discourse can occur. The concept of “desymbolization” is introduced as a method of working with religious narratives specific to the tradition of cosmic philosophy. The meaning of this term is revealed. The importance of this method for intercultural and interreligious dialogue is emphasized. Using examples of desymbolization of religious traditions (Orthodoxy, Catholicism, Protestantism, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism), the projective orientation of each of them is demonstrated.
