Abstract:

The complex of ideas developed within the framework of the Russian cosmism movement is examined through the prism of the problem of man, which is relevant today due to the rapid development of technology, on the one hand, and the loss of the value foundations of civilization, on the other. Referring to the reflections of N.F. Fedorov and V.S. Solovyov on man and the prospects of history, which became  particularly tense at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, the author emphasizes the desire of both thinkers to put their contemporaries and descendants before the need to determine themselves in the face of the future, building a holistic model of development. The article examines the reaction of Christian cosmism adherents to the crisis of the humanistic idea. Reference to the ideas of N.A. Umov, V.I. Vernadsky, and P.A. Florensky concerning the anti-entropic essence of life and culture, and of man as a conductor of the Logos principle into the world, provides grounds for overcoming the anthropological and axiological crisis of modernity and for criticizing post-humanist discourse that denies the special role of man in nature. The article emphasizes the subject-subject, rather than subject-object, nature of the interaction between anthropos and cosmos, which lies at the core of the idea of regulating nature. The philosophy of economy developed by cosmist thinkers, as well as the ideas of Christian politics and the transformation of society in the image of the Trinity, are examined as a necessary basis for futurological design in the 21st century.
