The Future of Russia in the Philosophical Reflection of Vladimir Solovyov
Abstract:
This article presents the authors' perspective on the contributions to the International Round Table published in the journal Solovyov Studies in 2024 and 2025. It analyzes the content and context of V.S. Solovyov's final work, Three Conversations, with considerable attention also devoted to his article “Russia in a Hundred Years”. Within Vladimir Solovyov's philosophical reflection, a distinction is drawn between what is “all too huma” and what leads the thinker to seek Divine Providence in the destinies of the world and Russia. In this connection, the ambiguity and tension evident in the philosopher's creative anticipations of Russia's future are noted. In conclusion, the authors support M.V. Medovarov's call to defend the legacy of Vladimir Solovyov and offer their own proposals in this regard.
