Abstract:
The proposed article is a preface to the republication of a little-known article by N.A. Berdyaev “The Third Exodus” (1949) and the answer to it by B.P. Vysheslavtsev “There is no third way. The answer to the political testament of N.A. Berdyaev” (1949. translated from German). Russian Russian philosophers' speeches attest to the deep division of the Russian diaspora in the first half of the twentieth century when deciding on the validity of N.A. Berdyaev's thesis about the direct succession of Soviet Russia – USSR from pre-revolutionary Russia and the different understanding of Russian patriotism. N.A. Berdyaev fills it with cultural and ethnic content, and B.P. Vysheslavtsev anticommunist and political.
